In a sad incident in Panchasheela Nagar, Govindarajanagar, a 26-year-old woman, Chandini, and her four-year-old daughter, Yuvi Kiran, died on Monday. They allegedly inhaled gas leaking from a bathroom geyser. Chandini had taken her child for a bath when the geyser is suspected to have leaked gas. Both became unconscious. The tragedy came to light when Chandini's husband, Kiran, tried calling her to fetch their elder daughter from school but got no answer. He sent his younger brother to check. They found the bathroom door locked from inside. On forcing it open, they found Chandini and Yuvi unconscious. Both were rushed to Victoria Hospital but died despite medical efforts. Kiran works as a carpenter. Police in Govindarajanagar are now investigating the case.
