St. Joseph’s College of Engineering hosted the grand finale of the Smart India Hackathon 2025 for software engineering on December 8 and 9. The event was organised by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation cell and the All India Council for Technical Education. Twenty teams, including 120 students from across India, took part in this national-level contest. These teams selected from 1.5 lakh nationwide ideas worked on solutions for big issues like coastal resilience, women’s safety, inclusive education, sustainable fisheries, and digital skilling. Over the past three years, thousands of teams have transformed innovative ideas into practical solutions using Autodesk tools in the Smart India Hackathon.
