Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made security and law enforcement top priorities. On Monday, he asked people to be careful and verify the identities of workers they hire. "Strict and decisive action has been initiated against Rohingya and Bangladeshi infiltrators living illegally in the State," he said in a post on X. The Chief Minister appealed to citizens, saying, "My respected citizens of the State, the security, social balance, and strong law and order in U.P. are our top priorities." He also noted, "Security of the State is the collective responsibility of all." Special verification drives targeting illegal immigrants are underway by civil bodies and law enforcement. Earlier, on November 22, Yogi Adityanath instructed District Magistrates across the state to act swiftly and strictly against illegal immigrants.
