All three fronts in Kochi Corporation elections remain confident despite average voter turnout. The Left Democratic Front (LDF), United Democratic Front (UDF), and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) put up a brave front. M. Anilkumar, outgoing Mayor and LDF election committee convener, said the average turnout shows no anti-incumbency against the LDF council. "Had there been anti-incumbency, there would have been a much larger turnout," he stated. He expects the LDF to win with a comfortable majority, unlike five years ago when they relied on Independents. District Congress Committee president Muhammed Shiyas claimed the UDF would make a historic comeback. He expects winning 10 to 14 seats in West Kochi and strong results in Kochi central. "V4 Kochi, which hurt UDF last time, did not contest, and Twenty20's presence won't matter much," he said. Shiyas also alleged that 100 to 200 votes were deleted across divisions with help from government workers, and that UDF candidates faced police targeting. He said police refused to register a case on bogus voting. BJP city district president K.S. Shaiju aims to increase the party's seats from five to double digits. He named divisions like Thrikkanarvattom, Girinagar, and Ravipuram as gains. "We ensured all BJP votes were cast. Low turnout shows dissatisfaction with LDF's rule," he said.
