The Hindu will bring back its famous literary event, The Hindu Lit for Life Dialogue 2025, to Hyderabad on December 12. The event promises an evening full of engaging talks. Key speakers from history, journalism, literature, and culture will come together to explore how ideas shape India today. The event features three sessions focused on contested histories, marginalised identities, and modern relationships. The first session, "History as Battlefield: The Past in India’s Present," runs from 4.45 p.m. to 5.45 p.m. Historian Manu Pillai will discuss how interpretations of history influence public debates, in conversation with Nandini Nair. Next is "The Many Lives of Syeda X: The Story of an Unknown Indian," from 5.50 p.m. to 6.40 p.m. Journalist Neha Dixit, talking with Kavitha Buggana, will explore identity and the voices often left unheard in India. The final session, "Sailing with Many Loves: Journeys with Polyamory in India," takes place from 6.45 p.m. to 7.45 p.m. Arundhati Ghosh and Nishat Fatima will discuss the evolving nature of love and relationships in Indian cities.
