Bengaluru Central City Corporation started a strong crackdown on illegal flex boards on Wednesday. The move follows orders from Greater Bengaluru Authority Chief Commissioner M. Maheshwar Rao. Commissioner Rajendra Cholan led the effort to clear unauthorised hoardings and banners cluttering the city. The drive covered busy areas like Shantinagar, Chamarajpet, C.V. Raman Nagar, Chickpet, and more, where many illegal flexes were found. Alongside removing flex boards, the corporation held a large cleanliness drive. The biggest cleanup took place at K.R. Market. There, teams used tractors, construction machines, auto tippers, and other equipment to clear silt, old furniture, construction waste, and piles of garbage. The cleanup has been welcomed by traders and visitors. Commissioner Cholan said the improved conditions in the busy market received positive reactions. The Bengaluru Central City Corporation's action aims to make the city look better and cleaner for everyone.
