The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) released the first video of the Brown University shooting suspect after searching for more than six hours without any leads. The suspect, dressed in black, is seen walking past a traffic light, but their face is not visible in the footage. The shooting killed two people and injured nine others. "Help find this Person of Interest. If you have any information, please call 1-800-CALL-FBI (225-5324) or http://tips.fbi.gov," the FBI said. Authorities say the shooter is still hiding on campus, and a large manhunt is underway. Investigators do not yet know how the shooter entered the first-floor classroom where the attack began. While the building’s outside doors were unlocked, classrooms used for final exams require badge access, according to Providence's mayor. Initially, university officials told students and staff that a suspect was detained, but they later clarified that no one is in custody. An individual thought to be connected was briefly held but cleared. The shooting happened inside the seven-storey Barus & Holley building, home to Brown University’s School of Engineering and the physics department. This building contains over 100 labs, many classrooms, and offices. At the time, engineering design exams were underway.
