CCA Mysuru Hosts 33rd Carol Singing Competition with Music and Prizes

The Carmel Catholic Association (CCA), Mysuru, organized its 33rd annual Carol Singing Competition at Teresian College auditorium on Sunday. The event aimed to spread the spirit of Christmas through music and harmony. It included 12 competition categories with participants from pre-primary students to college teams and religious congregations. Teams performed carols in English, Kannada, and other regional languages. Winners in different categories received trophies and cash prizes. The team with the highest total points was awarded the Champions Trophy. Each choir had 5 to 50 members, singing carols that delivered messages of peace, joy, and unity. The CCA hopes this event will bring the community together in a joyful celebration of Christmas. The competition was inaugurated by Rev. Dr. Thomas Antony Vazhapilly, Bishop Emeritus of Mysore Diocese. Rev. Fr. Augustine Payampalli CMI, provincial of St. Paul’s Province, Mysore and CCA patron, was the guest of honour. Prof. Joseph Mathew, CCA President, presided over the function. Several other dignitaries also attended.
