Dense Fog in Delhi Causes 29 Flight Cancellations at Hyderabad Airport

Dense fog in Delhi and northern India continued on December 16, 2025, causing major disruptions in flights. Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) cancelled 29 flights during the day. This included 15 arrivals and 14 departures. The cancellations affected flights connecting Hyderabad with cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Patna, Ahmedabad, Pune, Goa, Bhubaneswar, Bangalore, Chennai, and Madurai. Hyderabad airport authorities had issued a passenger advisory on the evening of December 15, warning about possible delays due to heavy fog. They advised passengers to check with their airlines before traveling to the airport. The Ministry of Civil Aviation also posted an advisory on X, confirming that dense fog was affecting flights in northern India. The Ministry urged travelers to verify flight times and follow airline updates. It is monitoring the situation and coordinating to reduce passenger inconvenience.
