Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is putting strong security measures for its campaign meeting on December 18 in Erode. TVK chief coordinator K.A. Sengottaiyan said the event near Vijayamangalam toll plaza will have 40 CCTV cameras and 40 walkie-talkies for emergencies. There will be 24 ambulances, 72 doctors, and 120 nurses ready to help. Drinking water will be supplied in bottles from 20 tanks. Attendees will find toilets at 20 locations. Fire safety includes three vehicles stationed on site. Parking is arranged with a separate 20-acre space for two-wheelers. Sengottaiyan said, "The meeting was being organised with exceptional security arrangements and would set a benchmark for public meetings in the State." Police will deploy 1,500 personnel for the event. About 10,000 party workers and 25,000 public members are expected to join, and no passes or QR codes are needed for entry. The police will decide the entry timing on the event day. To manage exit, 14 routes have been set up. Sengottaiyan added there is no special area reserved for formally welcoming Vijay. The event promises a large, well-managed gathering with safety as top priority.
