On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the Election Commission of India (ECI) published updated draft electoral rolls for West Bengal. Over 58 lakh voter names were deleted due to death, migration, or failure to submit forms during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Now, the state's draft rolls list 7,08,16,631 voters, down from 7,66,37,529 before SIR. The updated draft rolls are available online on the ECI portal eci.gov.in and the West Bengal Chief Electoral Officer's site ceowestbengal.wb.gov.in. Voters can search by name or EPIC number to find their details. If you cannot find your name in the list, the ECI advises filling Form 6 with Annexure-IV and submitting it to your Booth Level Officer (BLO). These forms can also be filed online through the ECI website or ECINET app. The last date for claims and objections is January 15, 2026. For those unable to access the rolls online, verification is possible at local Block Development Offices or through BLOs. Booth Level Assistants (BLAs) from political parties can also help. This update marks the start of election preparations ahead of the Assembly polls scheduled for next year.
