FBI Hunts Brown University Shooting Suspect Amid Criticism, $50,000 Reward Offered
December 17, 2025
The suspect who shot two innocent students at Brown University is still at large. The FBI is conducting a full-scale investigation to find the shooter. A video shared by Fox News shows federal agents kicking snow with their shoes while searching near the campus. Director Kash Patel's team is using all methods to identify the criminal. Patel announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to arrest and conviction. New photos and videos show a person dressed in black near the campus on Saturday.
Social media users mocked the FBI’s search methods. Comments included: "if this is the current state of the investigation, they never finding that guy", "I dropped my key fob in the snow while doing delivery yesterday and they look just like I did. I'm basically an FBI agent. Lmao", and "he’s gone lmao, we’ve legitimately let a mass shooter get away with a school shooting because our fbi and entire administration is a abysmal joke."
Questions were raised about security cameras at Ivy League Brown University. Reports say the campus has over 800 cameras, yet the shooter managed to escape. Authorities confirmed no footage showing the suspect’s face exists except for the released video of the person in black. The shooting happened in an old building with few CCTV cameras. The investigation continues with FBI searching for any clues like DNA or physical evidence.
