ISRO to Launch 6,500 kg BlueBird Satellite on Dec 24 from Sriharikota

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will launch the BlueBird communications satellite weighing 6,500 kg on December 24, 2025. The launch is part of the LVM3-M6 mission and will take place from the Second Launch Pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. The scheduled launch time is 8:54 am IST. The satellite was developed by the U.S.-based company AST SpaceMobile. Initially, the launch was planned for December 15 but was postponed. ISRO has not provided a reason for the delay. The announcement was made on Friday, December 19, 2025.
