Union Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, on Thursday criticized Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for using "inappropriate and unbecoming" language against former CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR). Speaking at the BJP state office in Hyderabad, Mr. Sanjay urged the CM to maintain dignity and restraint in public speech. He blamed KCR for the injustice to Telangana in Krishna river water allocation, stating that KCR accepted only 299 TMC out of 575 TMC. Sanjay cited former Andhra Pradesh CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s statement in an Apex Committee meeting and said BJP is ready to make the agreements public if needed. On the Kaleshwaram project, he questioned why investigations cover only ₹9,000 crore when the alleged scam is for ₹1 lakh crore. Sanjay also alleged that over 6,000 phones were tapped during the BRS regime and accused KCR’s family of involvement. Addressing civic politics, he dismissed Congress’s claims about by-election victories and said the absence of party symbols in Panchayat polls makes result claims misleading. He pointed to BJP’s growth in vote share and seats, especially in Karimnagar Parliamentary constituency. Regarding the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections, Bandi Sanjay declared that BJP will contest alone and is confident of winning the Mayor’s post. He accused Congress of planning an alliance with MIM and vowed to make Hyderabad “MIM-free.”
