Saudi Arabia Launches Halal Mark Track Combining Halal Certification with ESG Standards
December 26, 2025
The Saudi Halal Centre has introduced a new Halal Mark Track to boost Saudi Arabia's role in the global halal market. This new system mixes halal certification with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards. The goal is to build more trust in halal products and open new business chances at home and abroad.
The Saudi Halal Centre works under the Saudi Food and Drug Authority. It partnered with the Halal Product Development Company, owned by the Public Investment Fund, and THIQAH to create the Halal Mark Track. This program improves transparency and reliability in halal products while pushing sustainability in the sector.
The Halal Mark Track merges the Kingdom’s halal rules with ESG rules. This means products with this mark follow strict halal guidelines and show responsibility to the environment, society, and good governance. This mix is set to build more confidence in halal products and improve their strength in markets worldwide.
A key part of this plan is the teamwork between the Halal Product Development Company and THIQAH. They focus on making a smart system that gives a better experience for users. By using clear checks for products and services, places that get the Halal Mark Track earn more trust and status.
The system helps makers and service providers meet high-quality and sustainability goals. It keeps them on par with global industry standards. Strategically, this ESG-aligned Halal Mark Track aims to raise quality and compliance in the halal area.
It gives local and foreign firms tools to boost efficiency, find export options, and strengthen Saudi Arabia’s place as a key global halal hub. By joining halal standards with sustainability, this program sets a new standard and shows Saudi Arabia’s leadership in building a future-ready halal market.
