Dubai to Host Record-Breaking NYE Fireworks Show with Major Road Closures
December 30, 2025
Dubai is ready to dazzle the world with its New Year’s Eve celebration. The Burj Khalifa remains the star with a record-breaking fireworks and laser show called Beyond Dreams. The show features a new laser choreography visible for miles.
Starting at midnight, 48 fireworks displays will light up 40 locations across the city. Besides Burj Khalifa, other top spots include Global Village with seven countdowns from 8 PM, Palm Jumeirah and Atlantis The Royal with beachfront fireworks and a Maroon 5 concert, Expo City Dubai’s family-friendly countdown, Bluewaters and JBR with a double fireworks and drone display, and Al Seef offering old Dubai charm.
Getting into Downtown Dubai means planning ahead. Roads will start closing from 4 PM on December 31. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard will close early once parking fills. Financial Centre Road and nearby streets will close later for safety. These roads stay shut until around 2 or 3 AM on January 1.
The Dubai Metro station at Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall will close or be exit-only after 5 PM to avoid crowding. Visitors will be redirected to other stations like Financial Centre. To help, authorities will run 200 free shuttle buses from remote parking lots to Downtown. Taxis and ride-hailing services will face high demand and long waits. Using a Nol card with at least AED 20 balance is advised to skip ticket lines.
Dubai promises an unforgettable New Year’s Eve, blending fireworks, music, and family fun with safe crowd management.
