Delhi University Allocates Seats to 93,166 Students in First List for 2025-26 Academic Session

July 20, 2025

Delhi University (DU) released its first list of seat allocations for undergraduate (UG) programmes for the 2025-26 academic session. A total of 93,166 allocations were made against 71,624 available seats. This included allocations for supernumerary single girl child quota and orphan quota. Candidates can accept their allocated seats by July 21, with the verification process to be completed by July 22. Fees are to be paid by July 23. Any vacant seats will be displayed on the university's dashboard by July 24, allowing aspiring students to choose their preferences by July 25. The second list of seat allocations is set to be announced on July 28, with fee payments due by August 1. The university may release additional lists based on seat availability, in a manner similar to the previous year's admission process where more seats were allocated than offered, accounting for expected non-admissions. The new academic session at the university is scheduled to commence on August 1.
