On Tuesday, December 30, 2025, hundreds of devotees gathered at various Lord Venkateswara temples to celebrate Vaikunta Ekadasi, despite the chilly weather. At the historic Ramateertham temple, devotees performed the Giri Pradakshana before offering prayers. The event was managed by A.P. Sadhu Parishad president Swami Srinivasananda and Ramateetham Seva Parishad founder Jyoti Prasad. At the Astalakshmi Sametha Iswharya Venkateswara Swamy temple in Ayyannapeta near Vizianagaram, a large crowd arrived from 5 a.m. The temple trustees Durga Balaji and D. Umadevi arranged darshan through the temple's North entrance or “uttara dwaram.” Special prayers were also held at Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple on Ring Road, TTD’s Venkateswara Swamy temple near Balaji junction, and the Venkateswara Swamy temple at Thotaplalem. Meanwhile, the Shiva Balaji temple in Srikakulam’s bankers’ colony was decorated with flowers for the festival. Priest Gopinambala Sitaramacharyulu conducted the Abhisekham ceremony to honor the deity. Vaikunta Ekadasi drew a festive spirit across these sacred places despite the cold early morning hours.
