Free Prosthetic Limbs Camp for 300 in Dombivali on January 18
January 2, 2026
A voluntary organisation will hold a camp on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Dombivali in Maharashtra's Thane district. Nearly 300 individuals will receive free prosthetic limbs. The assistive devices are auto-foldable, user-friendly, and weigh half as much as traditional limbs. These are especially helpful in rural areas, enabling people to walk, run, swim, jump, ride bikes, and farm. The camp is organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad with Divyang Kendra, Pune. An official said, "The Kendra, which has been operational for 25 years, has already provided artificial limbs to 25,000 persons."
