Telangana's lowest temperatures are climbing after several days below 10°C. The coldest point this winter was 4.5°C in December 2025. Between the mornings of January 2 and 3, 2026, Sirpur in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad recorded a low of 12.6°C. Sonala in Adilabad followed with 13.2°C, and Mutharam Mahadevpur in Jayashankar Bhupalapally saw 13.6°C. Kohir in Sangareddy, one of the coldest spots this season, recorded 14.2°C on Thursday, based on Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS) data. Urban areas feel the warming too: minimum temperatures hit 15.2°C in Uppal, Medchal Malkajgiri; 15.9°C in Moinabad, Rangareddy; and 17.7°C in Asifnagar, Hyderabad. The rising lows mark a break in the state's recent cold spell, bringing some gentle warmth to Telangana as 2026 begins.
