In Hassan, a compound wall built by actor Yash's family was demolished on January 4, 2025. This followed a court order after a private landowner, Lakshmamma from Mysuru, claimed the wall encroached on her property at Vidya Nagar. The wall was constructed by A. Pushpa, Yash's mother, on her site but extended into Lakshmamma's land. In April 2025, the fourth Additional Civil and Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Hassan, ruled that respondents must not block the applicant's peaceful possession of her 522.58 sq. mtr. property in Satyamanagala gram panchayat, now part of Hassan City Corporation. Devaraju, holding the general power of attorney for Lakshmamma’s property since 2020, removed the wall using earth movers. He said, "We moved court for clearance of the encroachment. The court heard the matter, and the respondents did not furnish documents to support their claim. After informing the respondents, we have removed the compound." Devaraju also noted he initially objected to the wall construction and informed local police, but it was not stopped. Actor Yash's family owns a farm on the site.
