Sri Gurudeva Trust to Hold 50 Free Cancer Camps in North Andhra Starting Jan 5
January 4, 2026
Sri Gurudeva Charitable Trust will conduct 50 medical camps in North Andhra districts, including Vizianagaram and Srikakulam, from January 5 to February 4. The camps aim to detect cervical and breast cancer symptoms early among women. Raparthi Jagadish Babu, the trust founder, said, "The hospital which was established a year ago has identified cancer symptoms in many women during its previous camps. The early identification of cancer will ensure quick relief for the patients." The camps will provide free pap-smear tests for women to spot cervical cancer signs. The medical team also offers breast cancer symptom tests during these camps. Chief Medical Officer Loknath Tripathi said, "The medical and surgical oncologists had been performing cancer surgeries at nominal charges as part of the trust’s service activity." The hospital plans to expand its palliative care center to support patients with advanced cancer stages. The efforts reinforce the hospital's commitment to spreading awareness and early diagnosis of cancer in the region.
