Bangalore Airport Hotel Limited (BAHL) is exploring plans for an ultra-luxury hotel at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA). The company has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to conduct a feasibility study for this new hotel project. If approved, this ultra-luxury hotel will add to the existing Taj Bangalore and the upcoming 775-room Combo Hotel on the airport grounds. Taj Bangalore is a five-star hotel located just 250 metres from Terminal-1 with 370 rooms already in operation. The new 775-room Combo Hotel under construction will feature two brands: a 450-room Vivanta (four-star) and a 325-room Ginger (three-star). This project is part of the larger Bengaluru Airport City development. Together, Taj Bangalore and the Combo Hotel will provide 1,145 rooms on the airport premises. Bangalore Airport City Limited (BACL), which manages the 463-acre Bengaluru Airport City, noted that a demand study shows room for up to 5,200 accommodation units to meet future needs. A senior official linked to the projects told The Hindu, "As multiple projects like the Concert Arena and business parks would be coming up in the future, we need to have multiple hospitality options like Delhi’s Aero City." This new hotel plan aims to expand the hospitality variety and support growing demand at the airport hub.
