Cooler Air Arrives with Clouds, Light Rain Possible in North Today
January 5, 2026
The National Centre of Meteorology reports a change in weather across the country today. Cooler air is moving in, and cloud cover will increase. Some low clouds will form over eastern and northern regions. There is a chance of light rain in the far north, though no widespread rainfall is expected. Temperatures will drop, especially in western areas. Humidity will rise tonight and tomorrow morning in some inland parts and along the western coast. This increase in moisture might create fog or light mist early in the morning, which could reduce visibility. Winds will stay light to moderate but may get stronger at times, blowing from the northwest to southwest at speeds between 15 and 30 km/h, occasionally reaching up to 40 km/h. The Arabian Gulf will have rough to moderate sea conditions. High tides will occur at 13:44 and 04:17, with low tides at 07:34 and 21:07. In the Sea of Oman, waves will be light. High tides will happen at 10:20 and 23:52, while low tides are expected at 17:04 and 05:54.
