A 15-year-old girl was seriously injured after falling from the second floor of the Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Attingal on Monday. The incident happened around 1:30 pm in the higher secondary block during lunch break. The Class X student suffered severe injuries to her leg. She was first taken to Government Taluk Hospital in Attingal and then referred to a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram for specialised treatment. Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances. They have not yet confirmed whether the girl jumped or accidentally fell from the building.
