Sri Sathya Sai Police Start Village Drive to Boost Women’s Safety and Cybercrime Awareness
January 6, 2026
The Sri Sathya Sai police began a new village outreach program on Monday night focused on women’s safety. Police teams visited villages and residential areas to talk with residents about protecting women and children. They explained legal protections under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) that help fight crimes against women.
Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar told the media that police officers at village and mandal levels are teaching women and youth about online safety. They warned about dangers like social media misuse, digital frauds, and cyber scams.
Mr. Satish Kumar urged people to stay alert against crimes targeting women and children and to call helplines when needed. He also stressed road safety, reminding two-wheeler riders to always wear helmets to avoid fatal accidents.
Villagers were told to report any strangers or suspicious persons in their areas. The SP asked everyone to avoid quarrels and help keep peace in rural communities.
Police were instructed to widely share important helpline numbers: 100/112 for emergencies, 1098 for child protection, 181 for domestic violence, 1091 for women’s harassment complaints, and 1930 for cybercrime reports.
