On Tuesday, bomb threat emails sparked panic at the High Court of Karnataka in Dharwad and district courts in Gadag and Bagalkot. In Dharwad, the court was evacuated and proceedings were stopped for the day. Police increased security and used bomb disposal and dog squads to search the premises. No bombs were found. Similarly, in Bagalkot, an email sent to Principal District and Sessions Judge N.V. Vijay warned of a bomb. Police and dog squads evacuated everyone and searched thoroughly but found nothing suspicious. Court activities resumed after the search. The District Court in Gadag also received a similar email. The court was evacuated and searched carefully with no findings of any bomb. The police are currently investigating to find where the emails came from. All threats have been confirmed as hoaxes.
