Kerala Muslim Jamaat’s Yatra Ends in Big Rally at Thiruvananthapuram

The Kerala Muslim Jamaat’s ‘Kerala Yatra’ will end with a mass rally and public meeting on Friday in Thiruvananthapuram. The outreach tour started in Kasaragod and is a lead-up to the centenary celebrations of Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama, the largest group of traditional Islamic scholars in Kerala. The rally and ‘centenary guard parade’ will begin at 4 p.m. from Palayam and finish at the Putharikandam grounds. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will open the valedictory meeting. Leader of the Opposition V.D. Satheesan and Kerala Muslim Jamaat president Kanthapuram A.P. Aboobacker Musliyar will also speak. Kerala Muslim Jamaat vice-president C. Muhammed Faizi told a press conference on Wednesday that a development document, made from demands collected across districts during the campaign, will be handed over to the Chief Minister.
