Charity Events Mark Bhogi Festival in Srikakulam and Vizianagaram

Public representatives and philanthropists organized charity events on Wednesday for the Bhogi and Sankranti festivals in Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts. They gave out dress materials and saris to the needy as a tribute to their forefathers. P.V.S Rammohana Rao, president of the P.V.S Rammohana Rao foundation and an industrialist, distributed saris and garments to nearly 2,000 people in Dhavalapeta village, G. Sigadam mandal, Srikakulam. He said, "The foundation has been taking care of the underprivileged people for the last two decades during the festival days." Member of Legislative Council Duvvada Srinivas gave cash prizes to physically challenged persons and meritorious students. Parvatipuram MLA Bonela Vijaya Chandra handed out rice packets to those in need. In Vizianagaram, ZP chairperson Majji Srinivasa Rao and Jana Sena Party leader Avanapu Vikram organized similar charitable activities as part of the Bhogi celebrations. These generous acts brightened the festive spirit across both districts.
