UAE Air Parade on Jan 17: Jets and Helicopters Fly Over All Emirates
January 16, 2026
The UAE will host a grand aerial parade on Saturday, January 17, 2026, to celebrate the Day of Solidarity. Elite pilots from the Al Fursan, known as The Knights, will fly helicopters and fighter jets across every emirate. The parade follows the coastline from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah, split into two parts: a two-hour helicopter display and a 34-minute fighter jet finale.
Key viewing areas include Abu Dhabi Corniche, the starting point; Dubai’s Kite Beach and JBR, known for thrilling low passes; Al Qawasim Corniche in Ras Al Khaimah, offering wide sky views; and Umbrella Beach in Fujairah, where jets fly at sunset over the Gulf of Oman.
The flying teams will show sharp precision and symbolic formations representing UAE unity and strength. They may release red, green, white, and black smoke trails depending on weather. The Ministry of Defence stresses strict safety and airspace rules, warning against drone use, which is banned during the event.
Traffic near viewing spots could be heavy, especially in Sharjah and Dubai. Spectators should arrive at least one hour early and bring power banks for phones, as many will record or stream live. The event is designed for all to enjoy and connects residents and tourists to the nation’s proud defense spirit. As the UAE flag colors paint the sky, it will be a memorable show of calm strength and unity.
