Kousali Institute of Management Studies (KIMS) alumni from Karnatak University, Dharwad, have donated over ₹2 crore to help develop their alma mater. The alumni also took an active role in managing these projects through the Kousali Alumni Network (KAN), showing strong support for the institute's growth. KIMS and Karnatak University celebrated 50 years with 'Darpan', an alumni meet and international seminar held from January 10 to 12 in partnership with Cardiff University, UK. Over 300 students from all 50 batches of KIMS participated. Madan Pillutla, Dean of the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, emphasized alumni importance in development during the inauguration. Sriram Beldona, Strategic Advisor at Stonehill College, USA, gave a keynote on future strategies guiding KIMS from 2026 to 2050. The event was attended by KIMS Director Uttam Kinange, KAN President Naresh Shah, KAN Project Head Sanjeev Ganate, and notable alumni like Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar. The two-day International Seminar on ‘Emerging Paradigms in the Business Ecosystem’ included eight panel discussions with five international experts. Topics covered included business model evolution, digital transformation, sustainability, and managing in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) world. The valedictory function on January 12 wrapped up with reflections on the seminar's insightful discussions.
