The Gachibowli police rescued a peacock injured after a stray dog attacked it near an IDBI Bank branch on January 23 around 8 p.m. G. Ashritha, the IDBI Bank manager, spotted the bird hurt on the premises and alerted the police immediately. Officials from Gachibowli police, the Forest department, and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation arrived quickly. They rescued the injured peacock and handed it over to the authorities for care and medical treatment. Police said their timely action helped save the bird’s life and ensured proper medical help.
