The newly appointed Telugu Desam Party (TDP) committees in Nandyal and Anantapur districts officially took charge on Sunday. In Nandyal, Gouru Charitha Reddy was sworn in as district president and N. MD Feroze as general secretary. Roads and Buildings Minister BC Janardhan Reddy, along with Minority Welfare Minister N. MD Farooq and other senior leaders, attended the oath-taking ceremony. Mr Janardhan Reddy urged the new team to strengthen the party and support its workers. “The NDA government is delivering welfare and development under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM K. Pawan Kalyan, and IT Minister Nara Lokesh,” said Mr Janardhan Reddy. He added, “We are implementing all promises from the ‘Super Six’ manifesto. It is the party cadres’ duty to share the development work with people. The people’s massive support increases our responsibility.” Mr Farooq criticized the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) for spreading false propaganda and said, “We are not going to be cowed down by the YSRCP’s threats as it will not come back to power.” He pointed out that YSRCP leaders “have no right to talk as their party failed to secure the Opposition status” and urged YSRCP MLAs to attend Assembly sessions if they truly care for the people. In Anantapur, Pula Nagaraju and Sridhar Chowdary were sworn in as district president and general secretary in a ceremony attended by Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav and MLAs Daggubati Venkateswara Prasad, G. Jayaram, JC Asmit Reddy, among others.
