A private jet carrying eight people crashed while taking off from Bangor International Airport in Maine. A strong winter storm hit the region, causing poor visibility. Bangor is under a winter storm warning with heavy snow expected. The airport closed after the crash, and emergency teams are on site. Air traffic control audio recorded by CBS News captured talks about poor visibility before the crash. A controller said, "there was a passenger aircraft upside down." Images showed smoke and flames on the runway. The storm caused wide travel chaos with over 11,000 flight cancellations and nearly 5,500 delays across the US. Airports in Philadelphia, Washington DC, Baltimore, North Carolina, New York, and New Jersey faced disruptions. Snowfall between 10 to 16 inches is forecast in Maine by Tuesday morning.
