Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has condemned a Russian drone strike on a passenger train in the Kharkiv region, calling it "terrorism." The attack killed at least four people, with four more missing. Over 200 people were on board when the train was hit near Yazykove village on Tuesday. One drone struck a carriage directly, while two others exploded nearby. The train was traveling from Chop town to Barvinkove via Kharkiv city, a route used by civilians and Ukrainian soldiers. The Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office confirmed the details. In another strike, Russian drones attacked the southern port city of Odesa overnight, killing three and injuring 25. Several floors of a building collapsed, damaging other structures. City military head Serhiy Lysak reported that Russia launched over 50 drones targeting energy and civilian infrastructure. Russia has increased drone and missile attacks recently, impacting heating, electricity, and water supplies amid a harsh winter in Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin's full-scale invasion since February 2022 has left Moscow controlling around 20% of Ukrainian territory. Despite recent peace talks in the UAE involving the US, Russia continues daily aerial attacks as key territorial issues remain unresolved. Zelensky posted on social media, "In any country, a drone strike on a civilian train would be considered in exactly the same way - purely as terrorism."
