January 30, 2026
Mysuru police conducted inspections of chemical factories, warehouses, and distribution units in Metagalli and Hebbal on January 30. This followed the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) claiming to have busted a secret drug manufacturing lab in the city. The inspection was led by the Vijaynagar Assistant Commissioner of Police. Officers closely checked chemicals and raw materials stored at these places, using sniffer dogs from the dog squad to assist them. Factory and warehouse owners were told to keep accurate records of chemicals and raw materials in their stock. They were also warned to be alert about using any banned or suspicious materials. Police clearly stated that they will take strict legal action if any dubious activities are found during future checks.
