Three members of a family died from serious burn injuries after a kitchen fire broke out in Kanakapura on January 26. The victims were Siddaraju (55), Chandramma (50), and their son Prashanth (22). The fire started due to an accidental gas stove leak at their home in Amaranarayan block while cooking. The severely burned trio was rushed to Victoria hospital in Bengaluru and treated in the ICU. Despite medical efforts, all three passed away on February 1. The Kanakapura Town Police have registered a case following the incident.
