Kruthivennu Police Bust ₹6 Lakh Fake Currency Racket, Arrest Four

The Kruthivennu police caught four people for running a fake currency racket. They seized counterfeit notes worth about ₹6 lakh, ₹6,000 real cash, and electronic machines for printing fake notes.
Superintendent of Police V. Viayasagar Naidu said on Wednesday, February 4, that the accused are T. Ranjith Kumar from Narsipatnam, B. Uma Shankar from Srikakulam, and A. Dileep and P. Rajasekhar from Seetanapalli village, Krishna district.
The arrests came from a team led by Kruthivennu Circle Inspector Nagendra Prasad. The gang printed fake currency in Visakhapatnam district and circulated it across Andhra Pradesh.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Ch. Raja, head of the special anti-counterfeit teams, said, "The main accused, Ranjith Kumar, was wanted in one ganja smuggling case and four counterfeit currency cases."
