South Central Railway (SCR) has announced it will operate a record 160 special trains for Holi in March. These trains will cover key routes including Visakhapatnam, Patna, Rajkot, Solapur, Bilaspur, Danapur, Raxaul, Naharlagun, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Shalimar, Hisar, Lucknow, Santragachi, Malda Town, Chhapra, and many other important destinations. Return services from all these cities are also planned to ensure smooth travel both ways. According to a press release on Thursday, February 6, 2026, across India, there is a plan to run up to 1500 special trains during this festive season to meet high passenger demand.
