February 6, 2026
On Friday, Cyberabad traffic police registered criminal cases against 24 two-wheeler riders for wrong-route driving in Madhapur. The special enforcement drive covered key areas including the 100-feet road, Cyber Towers, COD junction, Durgam Cheruvu, and the Mindspace stretch under Madhapur Traffic police limits. The police aim to stop the rising problem of traffic rule violations that risk others' safety. Madhapur Traffic Inspector A. Sridhar Kumar said, "Wrong-route driving has become a serious safety concern. Despite repeated penalties, violations continued." He added, "As per the Commissioner’s orders, we have now started booking criminal cases to act as a stronger deterrent." Previously, only challans were issued, but many riders ignored the fines. This new tough action intends to make people follow rules seriously and keep roads safer for all.
