The Palluruthy police arrested two brothers, Alphin Antony (24) and Renphin Antony (21), for supplying drugs to a 16-year-old boy and stealing gold from him. The accused lived at Mankamadom Lane, Palluruthy. Police said the brothers gave drugs to the minor and blackmailed him by threatening to tell his parents and post videos of him using drugs on social media. They pressured the boy to steal a gold anklet weighing about 12 grams from his mother’s home. Scared, the boy gave the gold to the brothers, who later sold it. The case started after the boy’s parents filed a complaint. Inspector Kiran C. Nair is leading the investigation. The arrests were made on February 6, 2026, at 10:32 pm IST.
