Bengaluru East Division Police conducted a big Anti-Narcotics Drive to stop illegal drug making and sales. They inspected 45 chemical manufacturing units, 165 workshops, and 116 warehouses in their area. This follows the Narcotics Control Bureau’s discovery of a hidden lab making synthetic drugs disguised as a phenol production site in Mysuru’s industrial area. The police checked records, storage, and actions at these places. Officials warned owners and managers, "Stringent legal action will be taken against anyone involved in illegal narcotic-related activities." The police said, "Such inspections will continue" to fight drug crimes and keep the public safe. Alongside, the police inspected 228 jewellery shops in the East Division to prevent theft and robbery. They spoke with shop owners about the need for CCTV cameras, alarm systems, access control, and better coordination with local police stations. The police stated, "This initiative aims to strengthen preventive measures and improve cooperation with jewellery shops to ensure public safety." Officials added that these checks will happen regularly to keep Bengaluru secure.
