A bitter divorce dispute between financier Jeffrey Leeds and his wife Elizabeth Leeds is playing out across courts in Florida, Wyoming, and Manhattan. The fight involves $100 million worth of real estate, including a $22 million apartment at 740 Park Ave., a $23.5 million Southampton home, and a $35.6 million property in Palm Beach. Jeffrey Leeds, 69, alleges Elizabeth, 43, had a long affair with Miami businessman Alberto Alejandro Tawil and was impregnated by him. He wrote, “You sneaked out the day I left to f–k that idiot loser,” in February 2025 emails. Jeffrey also accuses Elizabeth of using marital funds to invest $275,000 in Tawil's business, pay his staff, and buy “erotic gifts.” Elizabeth denies these claims and says Jeffrey has harassed her and her friends with subpoenas. She accuses him of stalking her and sending naked photos to embarrass her. Elizabeth also says Jeffrey stole and photographed her journal. She admitted in a deposition to a “loving and long-term relationship” with Tawil and having a miscarriage. Their fight also references Leeds’ past connections to Jeffrey Epstein. Leeds’ name appeared many times in Justice Department documents linked to Epstein. However, Leeds’ lawyer stated he had no professional or personal relationship with Epstein. Jeffrey and Elizabeth married in 2012 with former Mayor Rudy Giuliani presiding and bought high-value homes together. Jeffrey filed for divorce in January 2025; Elizabeth filed her own case shortly after, after moving to Wyoming with their two children. Lawyers for both sides urge privacy. Jeffrey’s lawyer called the allegations “completely without merit,” while Elizabeth’s lawyer asked the press to respect the family's privacy for the children's sake.
