Five-star hotels in New Delhi are charging sky-high prices with nearly full bookings as thousands arrive for the India AI Impact Summit 2026. The summit runs from February 16 to 20 at Bharat Mandapam. Over 35,000 people have registered for this major global event, officials said earlier this week. Demand for hotel rooms is much higher than supply. Standard rooms that usually cost ₹20,000 to ₹40,000 per night are now listed for nearly ₹4 to ₹5 lakh on peak summit days like February 19-20. Top hotels like The Leela Palace, ITC Maurya, and Taj Palace are offering premium suites at several lakh rupees per night. Many rooms come with strict minimum stay rules. Popular hotels in Connaught Place, such as The Park Hotel, Shangri-La Eros, and The Imperial, are almost fully booked or charging steep rates from February 18 to 20. The India AI Impact Summit is one of the largest AI gatherings globally. It will host participants from over 100 countries, including 15-20 heads of government, over 50 ministers, and over 40 major companies. About 500 leading AI experts, innovators, and CTOs are expected to attend. This huge turnout is sending hotel prices soaring and plans for tourists in the city into a frenzy.
