YSR Congress Confident of Local Election Sweep in Salur Assembly
February 8, 2026
Former Deputy Chief Minister Peedika Rajanna Dora is confident that the YSR Congress Party will win the upcoming local body elections in Salur Assembly. He pointed to the party's strong grassroots network across all mandals in Parvatipuram-Manyam district as a key reason. Mr. Rajanna Dora led a review meeting with party leaders from Pachipenta, Makkuva, Mentada, and Saluru mandals to check their election readiness.
He told media, "Village-level committees have been made to boost the party at the booth level before the elections." Separate committees will focus on scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, backward classes, women, and other groups. These committees will identify public issues and report them to officials in their mandals.
Mr. Rajanna Dora criticized rival parties saying, "The TDP, Jana Sena Party and BJP have lost credibility over the past 20 months due to lack of development in the constituency." He added, "The people are convinced only the YSR Congress Party can deliver development and welfare for all sections of society."
