On Sunday, devotees took part in the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Vratam at the Asta Lakshmi Sametha Ishwarya Venkateswara Swamy temple. The temple was brightly decorated for the annual Brahmotsavam, held from February 4 to 9. Devotees from across the district joined special prayers and celebrations. Temple trustees Durga Balaji and D. Uma Devi arranged for the 10th Brahmotsavam festivities. "It is a good sign that Hindu traditions and values are being inculcated among children by their parents in spite of the dominance of Western culture," said Mr. Balaji. He expressed happiness over the active participation of youth in these divine activities.
