Speaker Om Birla revealed on February 5 that he asked PM Modi not to attend the Lok Sabha for his response. He said, "I had concrete information that many Congress MPs could carry out an unexpected act of protest at the PM’s seat." Opposition MPs are expected to push for talks on the Trade Agreement framework between India and the US. Meanwhile, leaders from the INDIA bloc plan to meet at Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence before the Parliament session to decide the next steps for the Budget Session.
