Abdul Rehman, 20, a terror suspect, was murdered inside Neemka Jail in Faridabad, Haryana, on the night of February 8, 2026. He was attacked by fellow inmate Arun Choudhary with a sharp-edged stone-like object. Faridabad police spokesperson Yashpal said the incident came to light around 2 a.m. on February 9. Rehman was arrested in March 2025 during a joint operation by Gujarat ATS and Haryana STF. He was suspected of planning an attack on the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and possessing two hand grenades. Arun Choudhary, who faces murder and attempt to murder charges in eight cases from Jammu and Amritsar, was moved to Neemka Jail from Kathua in October 2024.
