In Bihar's Madhepura district, over 70 children fell ill after eating a mid-day meal at the Upgraded Middle School in Karu Tola on Saturday. Students began vomiting and complained of stomach pain and dizziness shortly after the meal, officials said. Locals claimed a lizard had fallen into the food. The children were taken to Madhepura Sadar Hospital. Doctors reported most children are now out of danger, but one girl is in critical condition. District Education Officer Sanjay Kumar announced, "An investigation has been initiated, and strict action will be taken against those found responsible." The incident has raised concerns about food safety in government schools.
