Major Fire Engulfs Factory in Rawat Industrial Estate, Rawalpindi

A large fire broke out at a factory in Rawat Industrial Estate, Rawalpindi. Rescue 1122 officials reported that firefighting efforts have been ongoing for three hours. The factory covered an area of more than two kanals. Rescue 1122 said 13 fire tenders and over 45 rescue personnel are working hard to control the blaze. The cause of the fire is not yet known. Earlier this year, a fire in a Lahore hotel tragically killed three people, but Rescue 1122 safely evacuated 275 occupants. Following that, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz ordered the installation of fire hydrants in all commercial and tall buildings across the province to improve safety.
